Majuba Power Station Haul Road Sump Water Management System.
The scope was for the project management, design and design management, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of the Haul Road sump water management system. This was a new system to handle the water that used to discharge into Haul Road Sump 1, and which caused an environmental contravention during the rainy season. The new system included the creation of agitation and pumping chambers in two ash sumps to pump ash slurry to the ash dam, and water pump and pipe systems to pump water from two haul road sumps to the ash dam, along with other minor works.
Turnkey project management, design and design management, and construction contractor. This included the project management, design and design management, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of the mechanical, structural, electrical, C&I and civil engineering works for the described scope.
