Majuba Power Station Coal Train Tippler Refurbishment
Procurement, construction, construction management and project management of the refurbishment of the Majuba Tippler works. The works included extensive refurbishment of the tippler cage, replacement of trunnion wheels, dumper realignment, tippler rail realignment, new trunnion wheel deflector plates, tippler structure corrosion protection, a new lubrication system, replacement dust suppression nozzles, new coal flow improvement plates, upgrading of the hopper level detection system, upgrading of the tippler extraction belt feeder system, new tramp iron removal magnet, replacement of positioner long travel drives with hydraulic drives including all hydraulic power packs, circuits and other required equipment, and other miscellaneous scope.
Turnkey project management, installation and construction management contractor. This included the project management, manufacturing, installation, construction management, and commissioning of the mechanical, structural, electrical, C&I and civil engineering works for the above scope.
