Komati Power Station Dust Handling Plant.
This project formed part of the return-to-service of the previously mothballed Komati Power Station. The scope included the following for each of 9 boiler units. The ash capacity per unit was 30t/h: • ESP hopper aeration system for 12 hoppers per unit • Row aeroslides beneath the hoppers • Common collecting aeroslide • Airlift to pneumatically convey the ash approximately 25m up • Transverse aeroslide network and ash distribution system to convey the ash to two final ash hoppers • Hopper discharge system including hydrovacs to mix the ash with water and discharge into the ash sluice system
Turnkey project management, design and design management, and construction contractor. This included the project management, design and design management, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of the mechanical, structural, electrical, C&I and civil engineering works for the described scope.
