RULA design, manufacture and supply chain conveyors for a wide range of applications
DescriptionThe slat conveyor is a robust, chain-driven system designed to handle lower-density materials with larger lump sizes, such as paper bales. Its overlapping steel slats, bolted onto the chain, provide exceptional impact resistance, ensuring minimal spillage even when transporting fine materials. This makes it ideal for direct material dumping onto the conveyor. The modular design allows for easy adjustments, enabling extensions or reductions in length based on client requirements.
Designed with an inclined head section, the conveyor features lifter bars on the steel slats to prevent material rollback at higher angles. This configuration optimizes machine length while achieving the necessary discharge height. The hydro-mechanical drive system is particularly suited for applications requiring frequent start/stop operations, with an option for variable speed control through modifications to the hydraulic power unit.
Additionally, the conveyor is equipped with protective skirt plates to shield the chain from bulk material, prolonging chain life. Maintenance is made easy with inspection and lubrication hatches on each structural section. A manual screw take-up ensures consistent chain tensioning, while bumper beams with low-friction liners support high-impact areas. These features, combined with a chain and sprocket drive mechanism, ensure reliable and efficient operation for diverse industrial needs.

Fitted with Lifter Bars to prevent material rollback - Design Capacity: As per client specific requirements - Deck Speed: Can be fixed or variable if required. Available with Electrical & Hydraulic Options Material specifications - Structural members and platework: S 355 JR - Sprockets: Heat Treated Alloy Steel - Shafts: High Tensile Hardened & Tempered Alloy Steel - Chain Running Surface: VRN400 - Chain Platework: High Tensile Steel - AChain roller: Hardened & Wear Resistant Steel - OR as per client requirements and specifications. Advantages - No adjustment needed on belt tracking. - Heavy-duty design with steel slats to withstand loading forces, with overlapping slats to minimize spillages. - Low feeding height, eliminating the need for building excessive ramps for the forklifts. - Higher inclination angles possible on the conveyor due to lifter bars preventing rollback of material. - Material can be fed from both left-hand and right-hand sides of the machine if required. Retaining walls are an option if fed from one side, ensuring the forklift operator cannot feed the material incorrectly onto the machine. Sizes Chain conveyors are purpose made in any size and shape to fit plant requirements Operating & Maintenance -The chain conveyor system is Operator & Maintenance friendly. -Inspection/Maintenance Hatches provided for chain lubrication purposes. -Master links provided for ease of assembly of chain.
