Ship loaders are designed for efficiently loading large quantities of bulk commodities - such as coal, iron ore, and grains - onto ships at ports and harbors for transportation. These machines are equipped with long booms and conveyor belts that allow them to transfer material from storage facilities or transportation conveyors directly onto cargo ships.
Rula has leveraged its decades of bulk materials handling experience in the design of a range of ship loaders to accommodate the following loading capacities and vessel sizes:
Rula ship loaders and auxiliary systems are custom-designed to our client's specific requirements and can include various solutions to suit the specific product and environmental application. With our turn-key background, Rula ship loaders can be seamlessly integrated into the upstream feeding system to ensure reliable, user-friendly, and safe operations.
We can offer either fixed-mounted or rail-mounted ship loaders, depending on the requirements. Ship loader booms can be of the slewing, luffing, or slewing and luffing types with a fixed or extendable boom. These options allow operators to extend, retract, raise, or lower the boom to precisely position the discharge point. This flexibility enables loading adjacent hatches without having to move the machine, reducing loading time and minimizing product spillage.
On the front section of the boom, various chutes and loading spouts can be fitted, depending on the client's specifications on the material to be handled and the applicable environmental condition requirements. This provides the benefit of being able to load the hatches of the ship by moving it into the corners, resulting in complete filling.
